Author: Grameen Telecom graft case: Indictment challenged at HC

Two accused individuals have appealed to the High Court against their indictment in a case involving the embezzlement of funds set aside for Grameen Telecom’s employees, including Chairman Muhammad Yunus. Advocates Jafrul Hasan Sharif and Md Yusuf Ali have filed the appeal under Section 561(A) of the Criminal Procedure Code. The High Court bench of Justice Md Ruhul Quddus and Justice Md Ali Reza has temporarily suspended the proceedings.
