Hezbollah’s plot to target former defense minister and IDF chief of staff Moshe (Bogie) Ya’alon with an explosive device in Tel Aviv’s Yarkon Park was thwarted. The device, an Iranian-made Claymore mine, exploded prematurely on Rosh Hashanah morning. Two suspects were arrested, leading to indictments against eight individuals involved in the operation, with a ninth Hezbollah operative charged in absentia. The suspects were found in possession of incendiary materials and weapons, including additional explosives hidden in East Jerusalem.
