Police in northern Switzerland have detained several individuals and opened a criminal case related to the suspected death of a person in a new “suicide capsule” called the “Sarco”. The capsule, designed for assisted suicide, allows a person inside to inject nitrogen gas into a sealed chamber, resulting in death by suffocation. Prosecutors in Schaffhausen canton were notified of an assisted suicide involving the Sarco, leading to an investigation for incitement and accessory to suicide.
