Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has ordered officials to diffuse tensions in Khyber following the violence before the Pashtoon Qaumi Jirga. The federal government recently banned the Pashtun Tahaffuz Movement (PTM) for threatening national peace and security. In response, the KP government prohibited officials from participating in the PTM-organized jirga and imposed Section 144 in Khyber district. Despite the ban, PTM supporters gathered for the jirga, leading to clashes with law enforcement agencies. Three supporters were allegedly killed before the jirga.
