The University of Potsdam in Germany is undergoing a transformation in its rabbinical schools with the help of American and Israeli experts. Rabbi Bradley Shavit Artson from California and Rabbi Yehodaya Amir from Jerusalem have been appointed to lead seminaries associated with the University in an effort to sustain Jewish clergy training. With the recent scandal involving the former leader Rabbi Walter Homolka, the Central Council of Jews in Germany has taken steps to revamp the rabbinical training system.
