After a long legal battle, 14 years later, Gaston Savoi and Fernando Praderi, along with some of their Intaka companies, officials, and ANC politicians, are facing charges of fraud, money laundering, and racketeering in the High Court in Pietermaritzburg. The two businessmen, also known as the “Amigos,” recently appeared in court in Kimberley, with charges involving the supply of dialysis machines and water purification units to government departments. Adv. Hannes Cloete withdrew charges against Savoi, Praderi, and Intaka companies in one case, transferring it to KZN. The remaining case was also transferred to KZN where other charges are pending.
