Rahul Gandhi meets with farmer leaders, vows to push for legal guarantee for MSP
Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, met with a delegation of farmer leaders from various states and pledged to pressure the government to secure a legal guarantee for Minimum Support Price (MSP) for farmers.
The delegation representing Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, and Karnataka informed Gandhi about the challenges faced by farmers.
Gandhi stated, “We will have discussions with INDIA bloc leaders to ensure farmers receive a legal guarantee for MSP.”
Several notable Congress leaders were also present at the meeting, including KC Venugopal and former Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi.
The delegation, comprising 12 farmer leaders, highlighted the issues faced by farmers in their respective states.
Overall, the meeting emphasized the importance of addressing the challenges and providing support to farmers across India.
