Tehran is eager to boost Uzbekistan’s trade relations with other nations by utilizing the International North-South Transport Corridor (INSTC), stated Masoud Pezeshkian. Iran places a high value on its ties with Central Asian countries, including Uzbekistan, as evidenced by the various agreements signed in the previous administration led by Ebrahim Raisi.
Pezeshkian expressed optimism for the full implementation of these agreements in the new Iranian government’s term. Uzbekistan’s president, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, acknowledged the efforts made by both countries to strengthen bilateral relations and set significant objectives for future cooperation.
Mirziyoyev also announced the readiness of Uzbekistan to convene the Iran-Uzbekistan Joint Economic Cooperation Commission to facilitate trade activities between the private sectors of both nations. With hopes of realizing these objectives under the new Iranian government, the stage is set for enhanced economic collaboration between Iran and Uzbekistan.
Masoud Pezeshkian and Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s remarks highlight the commitment of both countries to deepen economic ties and promote mutual growth.
