Major General Yahya Rahim Safavi recently spoke at the graduation ceremony of the first national defense course for non-Iranian students at the Supreme National Defense University. He highlighted the university’s commitment to implementing the Leader of the Islamic Revolution’s recommendations by focusing on regional integration and fostering relations with 15 neighboring countries.
Safavi emphasized the importance of the exchange of university lecturers and students between Iranian academic centers and universities in neighboring countries as part of Iran’s neighborhood policy. He also mentioned that Iran’s higher education sector currently boasts 2,276 universities and centers, with 1,000 foreign students studying in the country.
The Supreme National Defense University, along with other military institutions, aims to promote security defense diplomacy by exchanging experiences and knowledge with like-minded and neighboring countries. This exchange contributes to the maintenance of common security and peace in the Persian Gulf, West Asia, and the Caucasus region.
