Hanwha Aerospace Secures $1 Billion Contract with Romania
K9 Self-Propelled Howitzers and K10 Ammunition Resupply Vehicles are set to be delivered following a substantial deal between Hanwha Aerospace and Romania. This contract, valued at $1 billion and finalized on 9th July, includes support vehicles and ammunition, showcasing Hanwha’s robust defence capabilities.
Romania’s acquisition of the K9 and K10 systems marks its entry into the K9 User Club, joining other nations operating this advanced technology. By becoming the 10th member of the club, Romania enhances its artillery efficiency and aligns with NATO allies already utilizing the K9 and K10 systems.
This partnership aims to strengthen the strategic relationship between the two countries, with Romania benefiting from localized production to boost its economy and defence sector. The introduction of the Redback Infantry Fighting Vehicle further enhances Romania’s modernization efforts, aligning with Hanwha Aerospace’s commitment to deliver cutting-edge defence solutions.
