Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Meet Economists Ahead of Budget 2024-25 Presentation
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to meet eminent economists to gather their insights and recommendations for the upcoming Budget, which will be presented by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on July 23 in the Lok Sabha. The meeting will also be attended by Niti Aayog Vice Chairman Suman Bery and other experts to discuss key aspects of the economic roadmap.
This Budget will mark a significant economic document for the Modi 3.0 government, aiming to lead India towards becoming a developed nation by 2047. President Droupadi Murmu has hinted at historic reforms in her recent address to Parliament, emphasizing the government’s commitment to forward-thinking policies.
Sitharaman has engaged with stakeholders, including economists and industry leaders, to address key concerns. Experts have urged for tax relief, inflation control, and measures to accelerate economic growth. The economy showed an 8.2% growth in 2023-24, with an interim budget released earlier this year ahead of the general elections.
