Argentine President Milei Attends Conservative Gathering with Bolsonaros
Argentine President Javier Milei chose to skip the Mercosur Summit in Asunción and spent the weekend in southern Brazil with the Bolsonaros. He watched the Copa America match between Brazil and Uruguay with Jair Bolsonaro before giving a speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in Brazil.
Milei targeted Bolivia’s Luis Arce Catacora for allegedly staging a military uprising and highlighted the judicial persecution faced by Jair Bolsonaro in Brazil. The CPAC Brasil 2024 focused on conservative movements aiming to return to power in the 2026 elections.
Milei also met with governors and discussed trade facilitation with businessmen in Santa Catarina. He is set to return to Argentina for Independence Day celebrations on July 9th.
