A tragic air strike on a school in the Gaza Strip has resulted in the deaths of at least 16 people, with dozens more injured. The building was serving as a shelter for displaced individuals at Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza, according to Palestinian officials.
Video footage captured the chaos and devastation at the scene, with adults and children frantically trying to help the wounded amidst the dust and rubble-filled street. The Israel Defense Forces claimed they targeted terrorists in the area surrounding Al-Jaouni School.
Eyewitnesses reported that the upper floors of the school were hit in the attack, near a bustling market. Shockingly, up to 7,000 people were seeking refuge in the building at the time of the airstrike.
