Unfortunate incident at a cement factory in NTR District, Andhra Pradesh left around 15 workers injured, five of them seriously, on Sunday. The workers were on the second floor when hot material used in cement manufacturing fell on them from the third floor at Budawada Ultra Tech cement factory in Jaggaiahpeta mandal.
Assistant Commissioner of Police B Ravi Kiran mentioned that there was no blast, but a significant amount of material fell down causing burn injuries to the workers. The incident occurred around 11.30 am and affected both locals and migrant workers.
Following the accident, some laborers reacted by vandalizing the office of the cement factory, leading to police intervention. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has instructed officials to ensure proper treatment for the injured workers and submit a report on the cause of the accident. He also emphasized taking action against those responsible and ensuring compensation for the workers.
