Ramtha – The University of Science and Technology recently hosted the second meeting of the Sustainable Food Security Cluster, a part of the Higher Education for Innovation and Growth project supported by USAID. The event brought together key stakeholders from the university, including the Dean of the Agriculture Faculty and the Director of the Center of Excellence for Innovative Projects, as well as 150 industrial partners and researchers.
The meeting aimed to familiarize participants with technical and financial opportunities within the cluster while fostering effective partnerships through collaborative networking sessions. The project’s goal is to enhance graduates’ skills to meet market demands, leverage university research and technical capabilities for the private sector, and establish a framework for comprehensive, high-quality education aligned with market requirements.
By strengthening connections between the university research sector and private enterprises in the food industry, the project seeks to promote innovation, economic growth, and collaboration among higher education institutions, industry partners, and government stakeholders.
