The Belarusian military’s recent claims about Ukraine deploying forces to the shared state border have raised tension in the region. However, the validity of these claims remains unverified, as Belarusian state-run news outlets have a history of reporting unsubstantiated information.
Colonel Vadim Lukashevich, a high-ranking Belarusian military official, accused Ukraine of attempting to provoke conflict and engage in acts of sabotage. These allegations come in the wake of Russian forces launching an invasion of Ukraine from Belarus earlier this year, resulting in a defeat near Kyiv.
