In a meeting with Oman’s special representative Abdulaziz Al Hinai, Iranian official Ali Baqeri emphasized the government’s commitment to continue the late president’s policies of good neighborliness and strengthening relations with neighboring countries, especially Oman. The meeting took place in Tehran, where Al Hinai was attending the Asian Cooperation Dialogue (ACD).
Al Hinai expressed gratitude for Iran hosting the ACD meeting and offered condolences for the tragic loss of President Ebrahim Raisi and Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian in a helicopter crash. He also expressed optimism for the success of Iran’s upcoming presidential elections and hoped for continued growth, prosperity, and strengthened ties with neighboring countries.
The officials discussed various regional and international issues of mutual interest, showcasing the ongoing collaboration and diplomatic relations between Iran and Oman. Despite recent setbacks, both sides remain committed to fostering positive relationships and working towards shared prosperity and development.
