New Russian Radar Can Spot Tiniest Drones
Russia’s new Iney compact radar station, developed by Radar mms, can detect very small drones like Mavic at a distance of up to 5 kilometers. It also has the ability to differentiate between various types of drones and birds, offering enhanced security measures. This radar system can be installed at airfields and crucial infrastructure sites to create a continuous radar field around them, providing advanced monitoring capabilities.
“Our specialists have developed the Iney compact radar station with an active phased array antenna (APAA), specifically designed to detect very small drones,” Antsev, the general director of Radar mms, mentioned.
Furthermore, due to its compact size, Iney can be mounted on various weapon systems, making it versatile in its application. Radar mms is a leading Russian enterprise known for its expertise in developing a wide range of advanced technology solutions, including radar systems, robotics, and unmanned aerial vehicles.
The Iney radar station has been showcased at the Flot-2024 International Naval Show, highlighting Russia’s advancements in defense technology.
