Revolutionizing Clean Energy in Azerbaijan’s Karabakh Region
The Azerbaijani government is spearheading efforts to transform the Karabakh region into a hub of sustainable energy, according to Vahid Hajiyev, a special representative of the President. Speaking at the 29th high-level meeting in Zangilan, Hajiyev highlighted the initiatives to harness solar energy through the installation of solar panels in residential areas and smart infrastructure.
Notably, plans are underway for a 240 MW solar power plant by British company bp in Jabrayil, and a 100 MW solar panel plant by Nobel Energy. These projects align with the National Strategy to establish the region as a center of clean energy, complemented by modern urban planning trends prioritizing sustainability and safety.
Aghali, a smart village in Zangilan, exemplifies this commitment to sustainable development, housing 171 families and embodying the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Moreover, the use of thermal insulation materials in construction projects across liberated regions underscores the government’s dedication to eco-friendly solutions.
With a focus on inclusiveness and innovation, Azerbaijan is paving the way for a resilient and sustainable future in the Karabakh region. Follow Trend News Agency’s WhatsApp channel for more updates.
