A tragic incident in Surrey, B.C. has left a family in mourning as 30-year-old Tori Dunn was the victim of a home invasion over the weekend. Despite efforts from the Integrated Homicide Investigation team, Dunn succumbed to her life-threatening injuries after being found in a home in the Port Kells area of Surrey late Sunday night.
Following the incident, a suspect was apprehended near the crime scene with the help of the Police Dog Service and is currently held in custody on a related charge as the investigation progresses. Dunn’s father, Aron Dunn, shared his devastation on Facebook, describing his daughter as a victim of “senseless violence.”
As authorities continue to gather information and seek out witnesses, the victim’s name has been released to aid in the investigation. Anyone with potential footage of the area near the crime scene is urged to come forward.
