Tragedy Strikes at Karachi’s Hawkes Bay Beach: Four Picnickers Drown in Arabian Sea
Recently, a heartbreaking incident occurred at Karachi’s Hawkes Bay beach as four picnickers lost their lives by drowning in the Arabian Sea, according to rescue sources. Despite rescue efforts, only three out of the four victims could be saved, leaving one person unaccounted for as search operations continue.
Authorities had previously implemented section 144 in the coastal areas of Karachi, including a ban on swimming during Eid-ul-Adha holidays to ensure the safety of beachgoers. The District South Police is actively monitoring the beaches to prevent citizens from swimming in hazardous conditions.
This preventative measure is crucial for protecting the lives of individuals visiting the city’s beaches, especially during festive seasons. Beachgoers are urged to comply with the regulations and avoid swimming in the sea to avoid any potential dangers.
