Discovering a human finger in your ice cream sounds like something out of a horror movie, but for a man in India’s Maharashtra state, it became a chilling reality. The 26-year-old doctor, Orlem Brandon Serrao, found a piece of a human finger in the ice cream he had ordered online from Yummo Ice Cream.
After discovering the gruesome find, Dr. Serrao filed a complaint with the police, leading to an investigation into the incident. The ice cream manufacturer’s employees have been booked, and the probe is ongoing to determine the origin of the finger.
Dr. Serrao’s sister had ordered groceries and Yummo ice cream from an online grocery delivery service, Zepto. Upon consuming the ice cream, he found a piece of flesh with a broken nail, prompting him to report the incident to the authorities.
Yummo Ice Cream responded to the controversy by halting production at the third-party facility and taking necessary precautions to ensure product safety. The matter has been escalated, with an official police complaint filed by the customer.
