Bhopal: The number of ministers from Madhya Pradesh in the newly sworn-in Narendra Modi government remains unchanged at six, consistent with the previous term.
In the previous central government, six ministers from Madhya Pradesh, including Jyotiraditya Scindia, were part of the cabinet. In the third term of the Modi government, Scindia, along with Virendra Kumar and L Murugan, were retained. Additionally, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Savitri Thakur, and Durga Das Uikey were also inducted.
There were celebrations as Chouhan, a four-time chief minister of Madhya Pradesh, joined the Union cabinet. BJP workers and supporters expressed joy at his appointment as a minister. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav congratulated all the six Union ministers from the state and thanked PM Modi for giving representation to Madhya Pradesh.
The induction of six MPs from the state in the government was appreciated by Madhya Pradesh BJP chief VD Sharma as well.
