The construction of a temporary pier off the coast of Gaza, allegedly intended to bring aid to Palestinians, has raised eyebrows as reports suggest that the pier was initially used to transport military equipment and food to Israeli Defense Force (IDF) soldiers rather than feeding the starving citizens of Gaza.
A journalist with sources in Gaza revealed this unsettling truth on Radio Sputnik, questioning the US’ true intentions behind the $320 million pier, which was only able to bring in 150 aid trucks daily, far below the estimated 500 trucks needed to combat famine.
The controversy surrounding the pier has sparked debates on US foreign policy motives, with some speculating about hidden agendas related to Israeli military bases and natural gas reserves off the coast of Gaza.
As political tensions rise, the United Nations Office for Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) has stressed the urgency for Israel to open land routes for aid delivery, bypassing the questionable pier.
