In a thrilling game one of the Western Conference finals, Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving led the Dallas Mavericks to a 108-105 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves. Doncic scored 33 points, with 15 coming in the crucial fourth quarter, while Irving added 30 points, 24 of which were in the first half.
The Timberwolves’ main scorers, Karl-Anthony Towns and Anthony Edwards, were limited by Dallas’ defense, shooting 12 for 36 from the field. Despite a late lead by Minnesota, Dallas responded with eight unanswered points to secure the win.
Irving was motivated by comments from Edwards after the Timberwolves’ previous victory, showing a no-fear mentality in his performance. Jaden McDaniels top-scored for Minnesota with 24 points, but it wasn’t enough to overcome Dallas’ dominance in the paint.
Game two promises to be even more intense, with Irving expecting a tough battle. The Mavericks will aim to maintain their momentum and stick to their game plan against a determined Timberwolves team.
