France’s Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot announced that an international conference held in Paris to support Lebanon successfully raised $800 million in humanitarian aid and an additional $200 million for the country’s army. The conference brought together 70 government delegations and 15 international organizations with the goal of raising at least 500 million euros in humanitarian aid and advocating for a ceasefire. However, due to the US focusing on its own efforts, diplomats are not expecting significant concrete progress to be made.
