Tragedy struck in Kajo-Keji County, Central Equatoria State, as four civilians fell victim to unknown gunmen suspected to be members of the National Salvation Front (NAS). The incident, which took place at Leikor Boma, saw the assailants fatally shoot at civilians at around 5:30pm. However, County Commissioner Christopher David Lisi assured that no displacements occurred as the county authorities and army were actively pursuing the perpetrators.
Governor Augustino Jadalla’s recent visit aimed at promoting peace and stability in the region was shadowed by this unfortunate incident. Despite efforts to reach NAS for comments being futile, Commissioner Lisi urged the public to remain calm as justice is sought for the victims.
