The decision to bar Israeli firms is the latest incident in a row fuelled by the Macron government’s unease over Israel’s conduct in the wars in Gaza and Lebanon
Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz has ordered legal proceedings against French President Emmanuel Macron after Paris banned Israeli firms from a naval trade show. This decision comes amidst Macron’s unease over Israel’s actions in Gaza and Lebanon wars.
Euronaval, organizing an event in Paris, stated that Israeli delegations could attend but not exhibit stands due to the French government’s restriction, affecting seven firms.
Katz condemned the ban, calling it undemocratic and urging Macron to cancel the decision. He instructed the Foreign Ministry to take legal and diplomatic action against Macron’s move.
