PPP and JUI-F Shuffle Parliamentary Leaders for 26th Constitutional Amendments
Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) and Jamiat Ulema Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) have made changes in their parliamentary leaders ahead of proposing the 26th constitutional amendments in the Parliament. Initially, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari was supposed to present the proposed amendments, replacing Naveed Qamar. However, the last-minute decision now appoints JUI-F Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman as the one to propose the amendments as a private member.
The final discussions on the 26th Constitutional Amendment are underway, with active engagement from both the government and opposition. A series of meetings are being held to finalize the amendments, including a discussion between PTI delegation and Maulana Fazlur Rehman. Moreover, a meeting between former President Asif Ali Zardari and Maulana Fazlur Rehman is expected soon to further deliberate on the matter.
