Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan paid a visit to Tehran and met with Iran’s acting president, Mohammad Mokhber. During the meeting, Pashinyan expressed deep condolences on behalf of himself and the Armenian delegation for the tragic loss of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and FM Hossein Amir-Abdollahian.
Pashinyan highlighted the warm friendship he shared with the late Raisi and expressed hope for the continuation of the positive relations between Armenia and Iran. In response, Mokhber acknowledged the support from Armenia during these difficult times and assured the continuation of the programs outlined by Pashinyan and Raisi for the development of bilateral relations.
The presence of the Armenian PM in Iran was noted as a source of strength for the Iranian people amidst the tragedy. Both sides emphasized the importance of maintaining and further strengthening the ties between the two countries.
