The humanitarian crisis in northern Gaza has reached horrifying levels, with Israel’s siege wiping the region off the map, as reported by Oxfam and 35 other groups. Today, Israel bombed a UNRWA school in Jabaliya, resulting in the death of at least 25 people, including children. The Biden administration threatens to cut off military aid to Israel if humanitarian access to Gaza is not improved within 30 days, despite evidence of Israeli violations.
Josh Paul, former State Department official, resigned due to the push for increased arms sales to Israel. He and Tariq Habash are advocating for a new approach through their organization, A New Policy. There are concerns within the State Department about US policy towards Israel and the lack of action despite reports of violations.
A New Policy’s mission is to ensure that US policies in the Middle East align with American laws and values for peace and prosperity. Visit www.anewpolicy.org to learn more and join the conversation.
As Israel threatens retaliatory strikes against Iran, the risk of a broader regional conflict looms. A New Policy aims to hold the US government accountable and advocate for a just and lawful approach.
