ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, October 16 – Turkmenistan’s collaboration with Pakistan’s National Logistics Corporation (NLC) is set to boost cargo transportation along the China-Pakistan-Afghanistan-Turkmenistan route. This partnership will enhance access to the Central Asian and Caspian regions, as reported by Turkmenistan’s Foreign Ministry.
During a meeting between Turkmen Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov and Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in Islamabad, the potential for increased cooperation was emphasized. Focus was placed on strengthening ties in the transport and logistics sector, particularly with major Pakistani companies.
The discussions also touched upon various aspects of the Turkmen-Pakistani partnership, including political, diplomatic, trade, economic, cultural, and humanitarian cooperation. The Turkmen delegation’s visit to Pakistan coincides with their participation as a guest of honor at the meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
