Peoples Democratic Party Flags Off Campaign for Ondo State Governorship Election

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has officially kicked off its campaign for the November 16 governorship election in Ondo State, with high hopes of overthrowing the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state. Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, urged voters against selling their votes and called for the redeployment of the state Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) to ensure a fair and neutral election process.
Makinde emphasized the importance of voting for the PDP candidate, Agboola Ajayi, who promises to bring about positive change in the state. The governor warned against vote-buying and stressed the need for a transparent electoral process.
Ajayi Unveils 7-Point Agenda
Ajayi revealed his seven-point agenda which focuses on infrastructure, agriculture, healthcare, and education among other key areas. The candidate emphasized the importance of improving law enforcement agencies, community policing, and agricultural productivity to tackle hunger in the state. Additionally, Ajayi pledged to provide better healthcare services and educational facilities across the state.
The PDP leadership, including Senator Ademola Adeleke and Umar Damagum, expressed confidence in the party’s ability to win the election and bring about positive development in Ondo State. The campaign aims to address issues of underdevelopment and create a brighter future for the people of Ondo.
