The Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR) congratulated Sam Hou Fai on Sunday after he was elected as the sixth-term chief executive designate of Macao.
The election, with Sam receiving 394 out of 398 votes, marked the first major election after amendments to the SAR’s Chief Executive Election Law and showcased the successful implementation of “patriots administering Macao.”
The office expressed confidence in Sam’s ability to unite Macao residents and lead with the principles of “One Country, Two Systems” to drive the SAR’s development forward.
Continuing its support for the Macao SAR government, the office pledged to assist in the law-based governance under the leadership of the pending appointee, Sam, by the Central People’s Government.
