A recent study conducted by the Center for Strategic Studies at the University of Jordan revealed that the Jordanian citizens have the highest level of trust in the security services and the army, reaching a staggering 97%. In contrast, the newly formed government only garnered a 50% trust rate. What does this stark contrast signify?
This high level of trust in the security services and the army is a result of their professionalism, dedication, and success in maintaining security and peace within the country. The Hashemite leadership has prioritized the training and development of these institutions, creating a workforce that is loyal, innovative, and responsive to the needs of the citizens. This trust is crucial in a region filled with geopolitical challenges and resource scarcity.
In order to meet the demands of modernization and improve leadership qualities, it is suggested that retired members of the security services and military be utilized in key positions within government institutions. Their experience, expertise, and unique perspective can greatly benefit the country during these challenging times.
It is time to rethink leadership strategies and utilize the valuable resources within the security services and the army to drive progress and innovation in Jordan.
