Iran Press/ Iran news: Masoud Pezeshkian shared the purpose of his upcoming trip to Turkmenistan before departing from Tehran at the Mehrabad airport pavilion. He mentioned that he is traveling to Turkmenistan to participate in the 300th-anniversary commemoration of the great Turkmen poet Magtymguly Pyragy.
President Pezeshkian highlighted the cultural connection between Iran and Turkmenistan through the shared history of Magtymguly Pyragy, who was an Iranian Turkmen poet. He expressed his intention to meet with the presidents of Russia, Turkmenistan, and Tajikistan during the event, emphasizing the government’s focus on strengthening relations with neighboring countries.
Pezeshkian emphasized the significance of the trip in enhancing economic cooperation, particularly in the North-South Corridor and oil and gas investments. He also mentioned his participation in a conference on the mutual relations between eras and civilizations, contributing to peace and development.
