Repatriation Efforts: Bringing Azerbaijani Nationals Home
Six Azerbaijani nationals were successfully brought back from the Syrian Arab Republic on September 18, followed by the repatriation of 2 citizens from Iraq on October 7. This coordinated effort by the Azerbaijani government involved identifying the repatriates and ensuring necessary medical and psychological examinations were conducted.
Diplomatic missions in Turkey and Iraq facilitated the return of these citizens to Azerbaijan, where measures for their social rehabilitation and reintegration into society are being planned. The government is committed to continuing efforts to bring back Azerbaijani citizens affected by conflicts abroad.
These successful repatriation efforts highlight the government’s dedication to the well-being and safety of its citizens. By coordinating with relevant state structures and diplomatic missions, Azerbaijan continues to prioritize the return and support of its nationals in challenging situations.
