Leverkusen Held to Draw in Bundesliga

Bay Leverkusen faced a setback in their Bundesliga title defense as they squandered a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 with Holstein Kiel. The team, managed by Xabi Alonso, now has 11 points from six matches, leaving Bayern Munich with an opportunity to extend their lead at the top.

Leverkusen took the lead early on with a goal from Victor Boniface followed by another goal by Jonas Hofmann, courtesy of Exequiel Palacios. However, defensive lapses allowed Kiel to pull one goal back before eventually leveling the score with a penalty in the second half.

Meanwhile, Union Berlin secured a 2-0 lead against Borussia Dortmund, ultimately defeating them 2-1. In other games, Wolfsburg triumphed 3-1 against Bochum, moving them out of the relegation zone.
