The Military University of Land Forces Inaugurates New Academic Year
General Wiesław Kukuła, Chief of the Polish Armed Forces General Staff, delivered a powerful message during the official inauguration of the academic year at the Military University of Land Forces in Wrocław. He emphasized the readiness of the current generation to defend Poland in the face of the present geopolitical challenges. Over 1,000 cadets, including 200 in the medical field, began their studies at the event.
General Marek Tomaszycki, the university’s rector, stressed the importance of high-quality training, stating that the institution must uphold the highest educational and organizational standards. He reiterated the university’s commitment to its students, emphasizing that those who do not share this vision do not belong.
General Kukuła highlighted the need for the Polish military to prepare for future conflicts and emphasized the demographic crisis affecting recruitment. He proposed a universal service model to address this challenge, drawing inspiration from leading armies like that of the United States.
Exciting developments were also announced, including the launch of a doctoral school, new postgraduate programs, and the establishment of a research center focused on unmanned systems. The university is set to expand its educational offerings significantly in the coming years.
