Exciting news from Muscat! The Ministry of Transport, Communications, and Information Technology (MTCIT) has rolled out a groundbreaking initiative called the Governorate Ambassadors Initiative for Digital Transformation. This initiative aims to boost efficiency and service delivery across all governorates in Oman.
With dedicated officials appointed as ambassadors in each governorate, the ministry is tapping into national talent to drive forward digital initiatives. These ambassadors, consisting of technicians, professionals, and digital enthusiasts, will work towards enhancing community awareness and usage of smart digital services, ultimately making digital solutions the preferred method for accessing government services.
Abdul Aziz bin Abdul Rahman al Kharousi, Director General of Digital Transformation and Sector Empowerment at MTCIT, highlighted that the initiative focuses on promoting the latest technologies to improve quality of life and simplify government processes. Participants in the programme will receive training on modern digital tools such as authentication, electronic signatures, electronic payments, smart applications, and artificial intelligence technologies.
