Government funding of 3 to 4 million euros will support businesses in areas of Volos, Pilio, and Almyros impacted by Storm Daniel last year. Development Minister Takis Theodorikakos announced this additional aid for businesses previously excluded from initial support. The minister visited the Chamber of Magnisia to understand the challenges faced by flood-affected businesses.
The aid package will be part of a new Development Ministry program launching soon, benefiting food establishments, tourism, and manufacturing sectors in various regions. Climate Change & Civil Protection Deputy Minister Christos Triantopoulos and MP Christos Boukoros joined the minister on a visit to Volos’ Industrial Area.
The minister highlighted the significant size and importance of the industrial zone, emphasizing the ministry’s commitment to supporting industrial parks across Greece with funds from the Recovery Fund. This initiative aims to aid businesses, restore livelihoods, and contribute to the economic recovery of the affected regions.
