Nasrallah’s death was confirmed by Hezbollah operatives, along with the high-ranking military commander Ali Karaki. The vacuum left by Nasrallah’s demise could potentially be filled by Safieddine, who holds significant roles in both political and military spheres within the organization. Designated as a terrorist by the US State Department, Safieddine’s ties to Nasrallah as a cousin and his current leadership positions make him a strong contender for the position of Secretary General of Hezbollah.
