Lithuania is showing unwavering support for Ukraine in the face of Russia’s war, as they announce the upcoming delivery of a military aid package. This package will include ammunition, computers, and logistical supplies crucial for Ukraine’s defense efforts.
Since the beginning of the year, Lithuania has provided Ukraine with various military equipment, such as helicopters, drones, armored vehicles, and air defense systems, along with humanitarian aid. This support is essential as Ukraine’s front-line troops work to recover from an ammunition shortage exacerbated by delays in U.S. military assistance.
In addition to the recent aid announcement, Lithuania has also signed a memorandum with the U.S. Northrop Grumman Corporation to produce and supply medium-caliber ammunition for Ukraine. They have allocated funds to purchase Ukrainian-made Palianytsia missile-drones for Kyiv.
Overall, Lithuania has contributed over 683 million euros ($763 million) in military support to Ukraine since Russia’s invasion began. Their commitment to Ukraine’s defense showcases a strong partnership in the fight against external aggression.
