Two men are set to face trial in northern Greece for the murder of a 41-year-old pregnant woman. Her body was found in a trunk in a forest on the border of Thessaloniki and Halkidiki in January.
The accused, the victim’s partner and his friend, are charged with premeditated murder, pregnancy termination by force, robbery, and illegal use of firearms. Forensic reports indicate the woman suffered three fatal stab wounds to her neck and throat while seven weeks pregnant.
The crime took place in the partner’s apartment in Kalamaria on New Year’s Day and is believed to be a robbery gone wrong.
