An alleged member of the Mongols Outlaw Motorcycle Gang (OMCG) has been charged after police found $15,000 worth of drugs during a vehicle stop in NSW’s far north coast.
Police stopped a Ford Ute driving on Gollan Drive in Tweed Heads West after identifying a defect on the car at 9 am yesterday.
Officers found a pack of MDMA pills stashed under the driver’s seat, with an estimated street value of $15,000. More than $6,500 in cash, small amounts of cocaine, a knife, and electronic devices were also seized.
The driver, a 37-year-old alleged Mongols OMCG member, was arrested and charged with possession of drugs, possessing an encrypted communication device for criminal activity, supplying drugs, and dealing with proceeds of crime. He was refused bail and will appear in court again on November 25.
