Israel Launches Strikes on Hezbollah Targets in Southern Lebanon
Israel Defense Forces (IDF) carried out multiple attacks on Hezbollah targets in Southern Lebanon. Dozens of fighter jets were involved in the operation against Hezbollah, as confirmed by IDF spokesperson Daniel Hagari.
“In the past hour, we launched a comprehensive attack in Southern Lebanon after detecting Hezbollah’s preparations to attack Israeli territory,” the spokesperson stated.
The strikes targeted Hezbollah’s rocket launchers and other military facilities, according to military sources. Earlier, Israel had attacked 180 Hezbollah targets in Southern Lebanon, destroying thousands of rocket launchers and equipment, with artillery fire exchanged on both sides.
12 Hezbollah Leaders Killed
Israel’s military launched an attack on a suburb of Beirut, Lebanon, killing 16 Hezbollah members, including high-ranking commanders. Among the casualties, 12 were part of Hezbollah’s leadership, as confirmed by an IDF spokesperson.
Reports indicate around 90 projectiles fired from Lebanon towards Israel, prompting warning sirens in Northern Israel. Casualties were not reported on either side.
The casualties posed a threat to Israeli and Lebanese civilians, including Abu Hassan Samir, leader of the Radwan unit, an elite Hezbollah division. The attack claimed a total of at least 37 lives, according to the Lebanese Health Ministry.
