The Ukrainian Defense Ministry has approved the use of the Takha all-terrain amphibious vehicle for the Ukrainian Armed Forces. This vehicle, developed by Ukrainian engineers, is currently in use at the front line for evacuation, transportation of ammunition, and food. The Takha is small and maneuverable, able to operate in swamps, floodplains, snow, and water. With the ability to carry up to one metric ton of cargo or 10 passengers, the Takha can overcome obstacles as high as one meter and travel at speeds up to 40 km/h on land and 6 km/h on water. It can function for over two days on a single refueling.
This approval adds to the 110 models of military vehicles approved for use in Ukraine, with one-third being domestically produced. The rest come from over 20 countries, including the U.S., the U.K., Germany, Sweden, and Italy. The introduction of the new armored personnel carrier, Khorunzhyi, demonstrates Ukraine’s commitment to modernizing its armed forces and enhancing its capabilities on the battlefield.
