The CBI has filed its second charge sheet in the NEET-UG 2024 question paper leak case, alleging that the principal and vice principal of Oasis School in Hazaribagh, Jharkhand were involved in the conspiracy. Along with four others, they were charged with various offenses including criminal conspiracy, theft, and cheating. The agency has arrested 48 individuals in connection with the case and identified beneficiary candidates of the paper leak. The first charge sheet was filed on August 1, accusing one of the alleged masterminds of working in collusion with school officials to access and solve the question papers illegally.
The CBI alleges that the question papers were accessed on the morning of May 5 and solved by a group of solvers studying in prestigious medical colleges. These solvers were specially brought to Hazaribagh as part of the conspiracy. The agency has also arrested seven alleged solvers and seized the equipment used to open the trunks containing the question papers. The investigation is ongoing to identify and take action against all involved in the scam, which compromised the integrity of the NEET-UG examination conducted by the NTA.
