Gold Apollo Company Responds to Israeli Attack in Lebanon
Taiwanese company Gold Apollo has revealed that the pagers used in the recent deadly terrorist attack in Lebanon were made by a Hungarian firm, BAC Consulting KFT.
In a statement, Gold Apollo clarified that they authorized BAC Consulting KFT to use their brand trademark for product sales in specific regions but had no involvement in the design or manufacturing of the devices.
Following the attack, Gold Apollo removed advertisements of the pagers’ features from its website, and the Ministry of Economic Affairs of Taiwan affirmed that there were no direct exports of the devices to Lebanon.
The attack, carried out using explosives planted in the pagers, resulted in 12 fatalities and nearly 3,000 injuries, with severe eye and limb injuries reported among the wounded.
Lebanon’s government and Hezbollah have blamed Israel for the aggression, while the Israeli regime has refrained from commenting on the incident. Reports suggest that Israel had informed Washington about an upcoming operation in Lebanon prior to the attack.
