Muctar, Israel’s first GenZ and TikTok politician, is under fire for inciting violence against Palestinians on social media. Amir and Ali filed a petition against her, alleging incitement, dehumanization, and defamation in her videos on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. Muchtar founded the party Youth on Fire to protest rising prices.
She claimed that 97% of Palestinians supported October 7, criticizing the Israeli government for providing humanitarian aid to Gaza. Amir and Ali accused her of advocating for the genocide of Palestinians. Despite their differences, they united in filing the plea against Muchtar.
The Israeli military refused to open an investigation into Muchtar’s social media posts, prompting the petition to Israel’s Attorney General for intervention. Palestinians have faced arrests for similar online posts, fueling discrimination concerns. Muchtar’s posts remain online as Palestinian students suffer consequences for expressing solidarity with Gaza.
Amnesty International highlighted Israeli leaders promoting racial hatred and forced deportation. The Attorney General and Muchtar have not responded to the petition.
